Dramatic advances in profitablity through strategic, small, manageable, marketing transitions

Product Awareness

Launching a product is multifaceted, and requires a lot of resourcefulness along with detailed planning. One of the first things that an inventor must do is to prove that the product is valid. An idea is not a product until it can be demonstrated that it works and solves a real and specific marketing need. Once the validity of the product can be proven then launching the product may be feasible but not necessarily profitable. Validity makes commercialization possible. A valid idea is a measurement of the potential for success and the starting point for creating a strategy. Consider the letter from Analogic about a product launch that occured in the short time frame of only three months. The product was proven and valid but the time was short and hundreds of events had to be accomplished prior to the fixed launch date.
